Every matter, down to the last line_
Ortiz Palacios is a boutique corporate law firm in Mexico City. We review your matters with judgment and care: corporate transactions, intellectual property, entertainment, compliance and artificial intelligence. Concrete decisions, straight to the point.
Firm
Who we areWe work with business groups, private equity and venture capital on matters where the law meets business decisions: buying or selling a company, protecting an intangible asset, structuring a deal, ordering corporate governance, or defending the organization before the authorities.
Our transactional practice covers mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and co-investments, private equity and venture capital transactions, from investment to exit. It also covers next-generation contractual structures, including smart contracts.
The firm is led by Alejandro A. Ortiz Palacios, a corporate lawyer and graduate of the Escuela Libre de Derecho, holding an LLM from Durham University (United Kingdom), where his postgraduate research compared corporate liability for corruption in the UK and Mexico, the doctrinal foundation of our corporate integrity practice.
We run a lean structure with in-house methodologies for every practice area: each matter follows a documented method and closes with a deliverable the company can execute, produce and defend.

How we workUnderstand the business
Before opining, we characterize the matter: what is at stake, who is involved and what decision the company needs.
Map the law
We test the matter against the law in force, court criteria and the international standards the market demands.
Deliver the decision
We close with an actionable recommendation: assigned risk, ranked alternatives and documents ready to execute.
